Mesa Arts Academy Receives Shining Star
Another Well Deserved Award!

We are proud to announce that the Arizona Department of Education designated Mesa Arts Academy as a “Lighthouse School.” This designation allows Mesa Arts Academy to become a training site for other schools in the area that need intervention.

School leader, Sue Douglas, said  “a number of district schools have been involved in this six-year training process (funded through the State Personnel Development Grant)  and at the end of the grant process, Mesa Arts Academy was the only Arizona school that earned this designation.”

“We are excited and proud that it was a charter that made it and will be training other schools and districts in this valuable process,” Douglas said.

The Arizona Department of Education presented this award to Mesa Arts on Friday, September 27  at 3 p.m. for a formal recognition and tree planting ceremony. Each Student placed a dream where the tree was planted so they could grow with the tree.

Love our Arts Academy!!!
