Youth of the Year

Youth of the Year Celebration - Monday, February 25, 2013
Silver Star Playhouse - Mesa
5:30 - 9:30pm
Every spring, the Boys & Girls Clubs of the East Valley witness young high school students emerge from their respective childhoods and develop into young adults; young adults full of hope, dreams and - like the Arizona desert - full of possibilities of a Great Future….A Great Future that started at their local East Valley Boys & Girls Club!
On Monday, February 25, 2013, the Boys & Girls Clubs of the East Valley will conduct our 21st Annual Youth of the Year Banquet and Celebration at the Silver Star Playhouse (formerly known as the Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre) in Mesa to honor and recognize outstanding high school sophomores, juniors and seniors who have emerged as outstanding members and leaders at their respective branches. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. and the program begins at 6:00 p.m.
You’ll hear first-hand from each candidate about how the Boys & Girls Club has provided opportunities that have changed their lives. Their stories will make you smile, cry and most importantly, make you proud. Proud to know these outstanding club members, and proud to have the opportunity to support them as they follow their dreams.
The history of The Boys & Girls Clubs of the East Valley and the National Youth of the Year program is strong. BGCEV has produced two National Youths of the Year: Donald Smith in 2003 and Mona Dixon in 2010. Only one other club has produced more National honorees than BGCEV!
