Staff Tommie Hayes Fonder

Greetings World, my name is Tommie Hayes-Fonder, and I am currently the Youth Development Director at the Apache Junction Branch of the Boys and Girls Club of the East Valley. At the age of 11, I fell in love with the Boys and Girls Club and have been a part of their movement for quite sometime now. While attending the Boys and Girls Club of Lake County I became the Youth of the Year from 2003 – 2006, a Junior Staff member, and later a Program Assistance and Alumni of the Boys and Girls Club. This was just the start of a wonderful career path I have made for myself. After graduating from Eastern Michigan University with a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts concentrated in Graphic Design, I was offered a Teen Development Specialist position with the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Scottsdale. After almost a year, I was granted an opportunity to obtain the Youth Development Director at the Apache Junction Branch of the Boys and Girls Club of the East Valley, where I plan to take the Apache Junction Branch to the next level of awesomeness, and help every young person that wanders through our doors reach their full potential in life and achieve greatness, just like my staff members and mentors did for me when I was a member.
