Bids For Kids
Our 34th Annual Bids for Kids Auction & Dinner – An Evening of Hope – drew more than 350 attendees and raised more than $320,000 for the Boys & Girls Clubs of the East Valley. The event took place Saturday, November 5, 2011 at the Sheraton Wild Horse Pass Resort & Spa and featured both live and silent auctions, entertainment from students from the Mesa Arts Academy and a fabulous dinner of steak and lobster prepared by the resort staff.
Among the live auction items were an all-expense paid trip to Spain, a 50-inch large screen TV, custom-framed and autographed sports memorabilia from Tom Brady and Peyton Manning, as well as Muhammad Ali.
The event committee, chaired by board member Jay Friedman, helped secure major sponsors including Brock Supply, Toyota Financial Services, Coronado West, Gila River Casinos, Intel and the Chandler Compadres, among others.
KISS FM’s Kyle Unfug of the John Jay and Rich Show served as emcee for the evening.
